Dear EPSA Members:
Politics and the Life Sciences Seeks a New Editor/Editorial Team
The Association for Politics and the Life Sciences invites proposals from individuals or teams to serve as editor or editorial team of the journal, Politics and the Life Sciences. The journal
currently receives approximately 60 submissions a year and works with Cambridge University
Press, who provide editors with use of the ScholarOne Manuscripts online peer review system. The editor or editorial team will assume a 3-year term, renewable by the Association for Politics and the Life Science Council. A prospective editor or editorial team with multidisciplinary experience and/or spans multiple disciplines is especially encouraged to apply.
Prospective editors/editorial teams should submit a proposal with a vision for Politics and the
Life Sciences and multidisciplinary research within the scope of the journal. Proposals should
include a plan to lead the journal, potential plans to increase journal impact, and ideas for special issues and journal initiatives. These plans may wish to incorporate ways in which submissions to the journal can be increased, such as the development of thematic issues. If the proposal is coming from a team, the proposal should include a description of the team and how the team can expand discipline, geographic, and demographic representation. Proposals should include CV(s) and an optional, but encouraged, letter of institutional support.
Interested applicants should submit by August 31, 2025. The Association for Politics and the Life Science Council will review applications and make timely decisions on the search.
Please submit complete applications to the Association for Politics and the Life Sciences
Chair, Melissa Baker, at mnbaker@utep.edu. Questions can be sent to Melissa Baker or the current Politics and the Life Sciences Editor, Gregg Murray, at gmurray@augusta.edu.
