The Institute of International Relations in Prague invites applications for a:
- new colleague for the position of a Postdoctoral Researcher under the project INTERFER, which studies foreign interference by foreign powers in the context of current geopolitical and technological changes. The Institute of International Relations in Prague is a partner in this project led by Charles University Prague
Application deadline soon: 12 October 2025
What we offer:
- A full-time job until December 2028. Remuneration: 64 600 CZK gross/monthly

Expected responsibilities and duties:
- Design and start-to-end implement partial research projects (from research design, through data collection to article publishing).
- Disseminate research results in the form of organising events for policy makers and experts.
- Conduct expert interviews (if applicable).
- Initiate and collaborate on publishing articles in high-quality journals.
- Participate in grant applications within the team, either as a lead researcher or team member.
- Present research at international conferences.
We are looking for:
- A PhD in political science, European studies, sociology, technology studies or a related field. The degree must be obtained before the start of the employment and should not be older than seven years at the time of the application call.
- A proven theoretical and empirical familiarity in the field of digital technology or security technology.
- Experience with publishing academic articles.
- Experience with presenting research at international conferences. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and diverse environment.
