The Chair of German Politics at the Otto Suhr Institute of Freie Universität Berlin invites applications for a position as a postdoctoral researcher to conduct research within a project on Territorial Inequality in Education, funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation. The project is led by Freie Universität Berlin in collaboration with Cardiff University and the University of Kent (United Kingdom).
This is a part-time position (70 % FTE) for 2 years. The intended start date is 1 January 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter).
The successful applicant will be responsible for data collection together with two research assistants based at the universities of Cardiff and Kent and will coordinate the compilation of the dataset. They will develop policy indicators together with the other project members; participate in data analysis; co-author articles for international journals and policy briefs; and contribute to the dissemination of the research findings. The postdoctoral research will also be in charge of the coordination and administration of the project.
