Dear Colleagues,
We invite submissions for an EPSA pre-conference on Political Connections. The event will take place on June 25, 2025, at Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M - Puerta de Toledo campus).
We are looking for paper submissions that study Political Connections. These connections may involve a range of political actors. For example, relations between politicians and firms, party brokers and voters, or interest groups and bureaucrats. Relevant papers will cover a range of topics, including (but not limited to) campaign donations, lobbying, public service delivery, bureaucratic responsiveness, clientelism, and business-politician relations. Papers that explore these topics in any context are welcome. We have a wide understanding of Political Connections, and if you think your paper is related, please submit.
To apply, please submit your extended paper abstract (minimum 500 words). If available, you may also include additional materials such as a draft paper, pre-analysis plan, or more detailed submission (optional). Please complete this form to submit your application: https://forms.gle/CXbgSWzGNUWiEe9M6https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fforms.gle%2fCXbgSWzGNUWiEe9M6&c=E,1,R90USDg8mDLusMrM-Tv7hX9bHR-nzKffvQN0eIDQJ4SikRF5s6SGjlpZZEvnb-6DHgVqlX5wl1EJOe-LDvalx32TBOZ2QyrORkbpXOmG1dfpD4nGPf4,&typo=1&ancr_add=1. The deadline for submissions is February 15, 2025.
Please note that this pre-conference meeting is independent of the EPSA 2025 main conference. If you wish to present or attend the main conference, please submit a separate application directly through the EPSA 2025 submission system.
