Dear Colleagues,

The Centre of Applied Ethics (Faculty of Human and Social Sciences) at the University of Deusto, Bilbao, Spain invites papers for the two-day conference "Radical Right Narratives, Conspiracy Theories, and Vigilantism in an Age of Democratic Decline", taking place on 27–28 October 2025.

The conference brings together scholars working at the intersection of political science, sociology, media studies, and philosophy to explore how radical right movements construct and circulate narratives, mobilize around conspiracy theories, and engage in forms of vigilantism amidst the global crisis of liberal democracy. We are particularly interested in empirically grounded and theoretically informed contributions that examine these dynamics in diverse geographic and political contexts.

The deadline for abstract submissions is 23 May 2025. Please see the full call and submission details here:

We warmly encourage participation from early-career researchers as well as experienced ones and welcome interdisciplinary approaches.

Best regards,

Bilge Yabanci
