Dear colleagues,

Please consider submitting your work to the virtual workshop ‘The micro-dynamics of protest and riot mobilization in the age of protest’ in the framework of the ECPR Joint Sessions (19-22 April 2022).

With the workshop, we aim to focus on the drivers of mobilization as well as consequences for the broader populace exposed to mobilization, in various geographical contexts. Abstract submissions are by the 2nd of February via the ECPR website: https://ecpr.eu/JointSessionshttps://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Furldefense.com%2Fv3%2F__https%3A%2Fecpr.eu%2FJointSessions__%3B!!JmPEgBY0HMszNaDT!69IZaTrYaB8XJUrvPH_JzOB7xMX5qy4R_xGvO2I2VCdUBONxRpf96lj2PuOSXa8M%24&data=04%7C01%7Cl.demarest%40fsw.leidenuniv.nl%7C943ed181835e4c401b9808d9d54bd00f%7Cca2a7f76dbd74ec091086b3d524fb7c8%7C0%7C0%7C637775344899044197%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0&sdata=aOhvhmH7R3oqi72alOwPFUwVaxV2e%2F%2Fsm0aUGD7HCTQ%3D&reserved=0

The ECPR workshop format itself is as follows:

  • Workshops are closed groups of 15–20 participants, lasting for several days
  • Workshops are subdivided in panels
  • Each participant presents a Paper; it is then discussed in depth by the group
  • Participants may attend only one Workshop
  • Participants are expected to be present at and fully participate in all of the Workshop sessions

The workshop provides an excellent opportunity to obtain detailed feedback on ongoing research.

Sincerely,
Dr. Leila Demarest
