Dear Colleagues,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am writing to invite all to annual international symposium organised
by European Center for Populism Studies (ECPS). It is on "The Future of
Multilateralism in the Rising Multipolar World and Its Implications for
the Economic Performance of Populists in Power" and will be held online
on March 19-20, 2024 .

The symposium aims to delve into the intricate interplay between
multilateralism, multipolarity, and the economic policies and
performance of populist governments worldwide. It posits that the
evolving dynamics of multipolarity and shifts in global power dynamics
have cast a shadow on the relevance, legitimacy, and effectiveness of
established international cooperation platforms such as the UN, G-20,
World Bank, IMF, WTO, WHO and etc. The rise of initiatives such as
BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and China's Belt and
Road Initiative (BRI), led by authoritarian and populist leaders, raises
questions about their role in shaping the future of global governance.

Speakers include Dr. Barrie AXFORD, [1] Dr. Robert KUTTNER,  [2]Dr.
Albena AZMANOVA, [3]Dr. Stewart PATRICK,  [4]Dr. Chris CHASE-DUNN [5],
Dr. Viktor JAKUPEC [6], Dr. Nora FISHER-ONAR [7], Dr. Marina NORD [8],
Dr. Kurt WEYLAND [9], Dr. James BACCHUS [10],  Dr. Steven R. DAVID [11],
Dr. Jinghan ZENG [12], Humphrey HAWKSLEY [13],  Dr. Ho Tze Ern BENJAMIN
[14], Dr. Giorgio SACERDOTI [15] , Dr. Alicia GARCIA-HERRERO [16], Dr.
Paul D. KENNY [17] and Dr. Cengiz AKTAR [18].

These developments have far-reaching implications, impacting the ability
to address global challenges such as climate change, food security,
conflict resolution, and humanitarian crises.

We would be delighted to have you join us at the symposium.
