Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for the Political Networks Online
Colloquium, which will be held monthly during the 2025–26 academic year.
The Colloquium aims to bring together a community of scholars to provide
feedback on ongoing research related to political networks. Each month, we
will meet for one hour to discuss one paper, which will be assigned two
discussants. To encourage active engagement, the Colloquium follows a
read-ahead
format without author presentations.
We are now accepting submissions of complete drafts for consideration. We
welcome participation from researchers in political science and related
fields—including sociology, communication, psychology, public policy, and
computer science. We seek papers that make theoretical or empirical
contributions to the study of political networks or that present innovative
applications of network analysis across a broad range of subfields and
methodologies. Submissions may include working papers, dissertation
chapters, or pre-analysis plans. While priority will be given to more
developed manuscripts closer to submission, we welcome papers at all stages
of completion.
The deadline to submit full papers is 17 October 2025. We aim to notify
authors of our programming decisions within two weeks. Accepted papers will
be circulated to participants one week in advance of each session. Sessions
are not recorded in order to promote candid discussion and protect
unpublished work.
Please contact the Colloquium coordinators, Marina Duque (
marinagduque@gmail.com) and Matthew Pietryka (matthew.pietryka@gmail.com),
if you have any questions.
