JOB: Lecturer in IR - University of Reading (teaching, fixed term)

Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Politics and International Relations at the University of Reading is looking to appoint a one academic year teaching-intensive Lecturer in International Relations with strongly developed skills in teaching, together with relevant experience in academic administration and outreach. We particularly welcome candidates with expertise in one or more of: IR theory, international organisations, terrorism, and security/strategic studies.

Politics and International Relations is ranked among the top 10 politics departments in the UK by research intensity in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF). We are a dynamic department with particular expertise in Applied Political Theory, Comparative Politics, Conflict, Security and Strategy and IR.

We strongly encourage applications from women and minorities currently underrepresented in the department.

Role is full-time though a high fractional option (0.8-1.0FTE) may be considered.
