Dear colleagues, The Institute of Political Science and the Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies at the University of Bern, Switzerland, are recruiting two postdocs to implement the Swiss participation in the Horizon Europe project UNTWIST: policy recommendations to regain 'feminist losers' as mainstream voters. By understanding if extreme populist parties are acting as niche parties, substantively representing (but also twisting) the needs and demands of citizens “at the margins”, who feel abandoned or disempowered by current mainstream feminist discourses and policies, UNTWIST will co-create alternative ways of addressing those citizens. The project is comparative, looking at Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Denmark, the UK and Spain as case studies and involving partners from all these countries in the consortium. We are looking for one candidate with strong theoretical skills in feminist theory and qualitative methods and another with expertise in mixed methods approach. Deadline is October 31, starting date would be in February 2023 or by agreement and the work quota at 80%.
