Hi!

I hope this email finds you well! I want to share a great opportunity for political science PhD students. The deadline, however, is technically today to apply, and if this is a barrier, please send me a personal email that you intend to apply.

Each year, the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) and the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse (IAST) offer an interdisciplinary summer school for PhD students in the quantitative social and behavioral sciences. Students can participate in one or both parts. This year, the topics are:

Part 1 (May 27–Jun 7, 2024): The evolution of human sociality

Part 2 (Jun 10–Jun 21, 2024): Politics, social identity, and human welfare

More information can be found here (and in the attached brochure):
https://www.tse-fr.eu/toulouse-summer-school-quantitative-social-sciences

Importantly, note that "All students will be provided with on-site university accommodation throughout the length of the program they are registered for. PhD students (who are not economics students) will further have their registration fees waived and their travel expenses funded."

The summer school is also well timed for anyone attending the EPSA in Cologne this year in early July.

All the best,

Kristin MICHELITCH
