Dear all
We are very happy to announce that, after a one-year hiatus, we will again organise a Winter School on elections and voting behaviour at KU Leuven (Belgium). The seventh edition will take place in Leuven, from 13 to 17 June 2022.
The Winter School offers PhD students a chance to expand their theoretical knowledge about elections and voting behaviour, and to present their own ongoing work. Also this year, we have an excellent lineup of speakers:
-Monday 13 June: prof. dr. Ann-Kristin Kölln (Gothenburg University): Divided Political Parties and Electoral Success.
-Tuesday 14 June: prof. dr. Carolina Plescia (University of Vienna): Meanings of Voting, Causes and Consequences.
-Wednesday 15 June: prof. dr. Michael S. Lewis-Beck (University of Iowa): The Economy and Voting Decisions.
-Thursday 16 June: prof. dr. Jane Green (University of Oxford): Educational and Generational gaps in Electoral Behaviour.
-Friday 17 June: prof. dr. Ruth Dassonneville (Université de Montréal): Social Groups and Voting.
The deadline for applications is 1 April 2022. By this deadline, interested participants should submit a one-page proposal to WinterschoolElections@kuleuven.bemailto:WinterschoolElections@kuleuven.be. Applications should include your name, the name of your supervisor, the university you are enrolled in, when you started your PhD, and a short abstract of the paper you would like to present (including its theoretical contribution and empirical design). Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by 14 April.
