PHD POSITION, UNIVERSITY OF ZURICH
The Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich invites applications for a PhD position in the research group of (www.lucasleemann.ch). The Department of Political Science offers excellent research support in a vibrant research community and is committed to advancing young scholars' careers.
We aim to increase the diversity of the department's members and thus explicitly invite applications from women and other traditionally underrepresented groups.
Your responsibilities
- Develop a PhD proposal and conduct research.
- Collaborate with other members of the research group.
- Teach at the BA and/or MA level (1 class per semester on average, in English or German).
- Provide support for research, organizational, and administrative tasks.
Your profile
- A MA/MSc in political science, ideally with a focus on Comparative Politics.
- Interest in representation, political behavior, democratic institutions, or historical origins of Institutions.
- Strong interest in academic research and motivation to pursue an academic career.
- Strong methodological skills and willingness to keep learning how to use new tools.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Strong command of English.
