Dear colleagues at EPSA,
we would very much appreciate, if our new recruiting search could be spread via your mailing list - we do hope it may be of interest to colleagues.

My colleague Asta Baumöller already approached you with an email from June 17 23, 21:02h (RE: "Global search for Research Experts and Director of Knowledge & Research“), but I have attached a more personal outreach below, which I would recommend to use instead.

Thank you.

Dear all,

Power for Democracies is a new non-profit democracy charity evaluator based in Berlin, Germany, and operating globally. It was founded by myself, Markus N. Beeko, currently secretary general of Amnesty International (Germany), together with Stephan Schwahlen and Stefan Shaw, founders of legacies.now, a philanthropic advisory in Munich, as well as co-founders (Stefan) and advisors (Stephan) at effektiv-spenden.org, the German language donation platform based in Berlin.

Power for Democracies is looking to hire 5-6 democracy enthusiasts to form our ‘Knowledge & Research Team’. The objective of the team is twofold:
To build and execute a ‘knowledge building roadmap’ that will lead to a growing set of methodologies for identifying highly effective pro-democracy interventions and promising NGOs to apply them.
And to use these methodologies to generate giving recommendations for the international community of democracy-focused, effectiveness-driven donors.

Power for Democracies is formally based in Berlin, Germany, but we will work as an international team with a strictly global perspective. Primary language both internally and in our publishing is English.

We aim for a ‘remote first’ hybrid organization in which most collaboration can take place online but is complemented by regular in-person meetings. If you choose to work from your current home, we will help you set up a good work environment, whether it is in a co-working space or at home. The preferred time-zone of team members’ residence is CET/CEST +/- 6 hours.

We start interviewing this week and intend to fill all roles over the course of 2023/2024 (rolling application). The Director role will ideally be operational by September 2023.

Salaries, depending on role fit, seniority, and your location range from 55.000-120.000 EUR. Additional benefits might apply depending on your location / country and your personal situation.

Please take a closer look at the job profile that describes in much detail the journey ahead of us and what we are looking for: https://powerfordemocracies.kenjo.io/knowledge-and-research-team-696027

It also leads applicants straight to the application form.

If you have any questions about the application procedure, please reach out to our Senior HR Specialist Asta Baumöller at  asta.baumoeller@powerfordemocracies.org

This is a very unique opportunity that we are very excited about!

Thank you for your support!

Warm regards,

Markus
