REMINDER: CfP HiCN Workshop 2021

Dear all,

This is a reminder that the deadline for submissions to the 17th Annual Workshop of the Households in Conflict Network (HiCNhttp://www.hicn.org/about/) on “Conflict, Migration, and Displacement”
is in two weeks: May 31, 2021 (23:59 CET).

The workshop will be held online (potentially hybrid if the situation allows it) on October 11-12, 2021.
This year’s workshop is hosted by the University of Goettingen with Mathias Thoenighttps://people.unil.ch/mathiasthoenig/ (University of Lausanne) as the keynote speaker and an open plenary on “Migration and Security Policy,” which is jointly organized by us, the Centre for Global Migration Studies (CeMig)https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/547763.html, and the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE)https://www.die-gdi.de/.

Please find attached the call for papers (CfP) with more details. You can also access the CfP herehttps://hicn.org/call-for-papers-conflict-migration-and-displacement-17th-annual-workshop-of-the-households-in-conflict-network/. Please kindly share the call among your networks.

We are inviting submissions on the workshop’s main topic or any other topic within the empirical, micro-level analysis of the intersection of violent conflict and socio-economic development. Please submit (preferably) full papers or extended abstracts by May 31, 2021 (23:59 CET) to hicn2021@uni-goettingen.demailto:hicn2021@uni-goettingen.de and kindly write “HiCN 2021 submission” in the e-mail subject.
