Research Associate (f/m/d) Postdoc
Salary group EG 13 TV-L

Start date: 1 April 2023 (or by arrangement)
Duration: fixed term for 3 years

Your tasks:

  • Teaching 2 courses (4 SWS) per term in Political Science/Public Policy in our degree programmes (required)
  • The pursuit of an own research agenda, preferably in one of the research areas of the professorship (migration policies and politics worldwide, European policymaking) (required)
  • Collaboration in research activities and in the preparation of grant applications (especially in the area of migration politics and policies) (required)
  • Field work in a major non-Western refugee hosting country or in a Central Eastern or a Southern European country (desired, depending on skills)

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree and PhD in the Social Sciences, ideally with a focus on Political Science or Public Policy (required)
  • Proven research experience/publications in the area of migration politics/policy OR EU public policy (required)
  • Teaching experience in Political Science (desired)
  • Proven experience in the use of Social Science research methods (qualitative OR quantitative) (required); Experience in mixed methods research (desired)
  • Very good command of English (required)
  • Good command of another language (e.g., German, Arabic, Turkish, a Central Eastern or Southern European language) (desired)
