Dear Colleagues,

we are delighted to announce the call for panels and papers for the program
session on Political Sociology (Research Committee 06) within the context of
the next IPSA (International Political Science Association) World Congress
‘Politics in the Age of Transboundary Crises’. The Congress will take place
at the Argentinian Catholic University (UCA) of Buenos Aires (Argentina),
15-19 July 2023.

You may find the session ‘abstract’ at the bottom of this message and at

The session is chaired by Lucía Miranda Leibe (FLACSO Chile) and
Michelangelo Vercesi (Leuphana University Lüneburg). The session welcomes
any panel or paper on topics that are broadly related to the field of
Political Sociology. It is open to a variety of theoretical and
methodological approaches as well as to both theoretical and empirical
works.

The call for open panels closes on November 1, 2022.
The call of closed panels is open and will close on January 18, 2022.
The call for papers will open on November 15, 2022 (deadline January 18,
2022).

You should submit your proposals directly through the IPSA online submission

Session abstract
The Political Sociology session brings together political scientists and
sociologists in this highly diverse, empirically based field of study;
promoting and this dynamic interdisciplinary exchange of scholars and ideas
lies at the core of the CPS and determines its policies. The committee aims
to establish a community of like–minded scholars, to facilitate
communication and the dissemination of scientific research, and to increase
the theoretical and practical significance of the field.
