Third Yale-UB Historical Political Economy Workshop

Yale University and the University of Barcelona faculty are organizing the*
third edition of the Yale-UB Historical Political Economy Workshop.* The
workshop is targeted at faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and advanced PhD
students, with a focus on historical political economy in Europe and the
Americas.
The organizers welcome papers across a broad range of topics and
methodologies, including studies examining historical political events and
research exploring the enduring legacies of historical events in the
present day.
This two-day workshop will take place at the North Campus of the University
of Barcelona on June 30 and July 1, 2025, featuring 10 presentations. The
keynote this year will be “Revolutionary Contagion” by Saumitra Jha
(Stanford) and Steven Wilkinson (Yale University).
We invite researchers in Historical Political Economy to submit proposals
using this form

given closer consideration.
Decisions will be communicated via email in mid-March. Accommodation and
meals will be provided by the organizers, with limited financial assistance
available to cover travel expenses.
