Dear colleagues,

I am looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong interest in
computational text analysis to come work at University College Dublin on a
project set up to identify challenges, and develop best practices for
analysing political text across different languages.

The postdoctoral position is part of a large European-wide network project
– “Observatory for Political Texts in European Democracies - A European
Research Infrastructure” (OPTED) – that is funded by a H2020 EU grant. The
purpose of the OPTED project is to advance the state of the art of
comparative computational analysis of various types of political texts.

In our team that focuses on multilingual text analysis the postdoctoral
reseacher will closely collaborate with researchers at University College
Dublin, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and the Vrije University
Amsterdam. The UCD postdoc will be embedded in the Connected_Politics Lab,
an interdisciplinary hub for researchers using computational methods to
study politics and society, hosted by the School of Politics and
International Relations.

The position is available for 1,5 years full time, starting in August 2021.
The application deadline is April 16, 2021.

More details about the position can be found here:
