Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce a Predoctoral Research Fellow / PhD position
(75%, 3 years) at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center, starting 1 April
2026. The position is part of the DFG-funded project “VARICRIS: Crisis
variations and their impact on international organizations’ governance
capacities”, jointly led by Prof. Christian Rauh (WZB) and Prof.
Christian Kreuder-Sonnen (FSU Jena).
The successful candidate will develop their own PhD project and
contribute to the project’s quantitative strand, including text analyses
of an original large newswire corpus to study crisis perceptions across
the globe. The position offers excellent supervision, access to unique
data, and integration into international academic networks.
We would be very grateful if you could share this exciting opportunity
with suitable candidates or relevant networks and colleagues. The
project website also contains a call for a related PostDoc position.
Kind regards,
Christian Rauh
