CfP LSE Joint Sessions on Critical Europe

CE
Critical Europe Conference
Fri, Sep 15, 2023 12:57 PM

Dear EPSA network members,

Could you please share the attached call for papers for the LSE Joint
Sessions on Critical Europe 2024 with ECRs in your department? The
symposium will take place on the LSE campus in London from 22 to 23
February 2024, and abstracts are due by Tuesday, 31st October 2023.

We encourage submissions that engage with (any part of) 'Europe’ in a
broadly critical vein, and invite contributions from PhD candidates and
early-career researchers. Any work with a critical approach either to the
European space broadly conceived or that seeks to overcome Eurocentric
assumptions and methodologies more generally is welcome. Limited financial
support for travel and accommodation is available.

The conference will be divided into three workshops: “Violence and the
Politics of Memory”, “Neoliberalism and the Political Economy of Precarity”,
and “Paternalism and the Politics of Migration.” Applicants are asked to
tailor their application to one of these workshops. There will also be
opportunities for inter-workshop networking and exchange. For more
information please see the CfP attached or visit the event webpage:
https://www.lse.ac.uk/european-institute/research/critical-europe.

Thank you very much for your help.

All the best,

The Critical Europe Organising Team
