I am hiring a PhD researcher for the project CITATIONGAP (Deadline:
14.12.2021). We – a Postdoc, the PhD researcher and I – study the extent
and causes of a gender citation gap in political science journals using
different designs and quantitative tools.
Your profile (more details in the job ad:
https://cccp.uni-koeln.de/sites/cccp/Aktuelles/Stellenausschreibungen/Wiss2111-20_Doctoral_Researcher.pdf):
- A Master degree (or equivalent) in political science.
- Prior training in quantitative methods and, possibly, computational
social science.
You should be prepared to develop your skills further in the context of
this project.
The position:
- 4 years, ideally starting 1.3.2022
- Salary: 65% of a full-time position. (~ 3200 Euro/month before taxes etc.)
The application should include:
- A brief cover letter;
- c.v.
- Transcript of records of Master and Bachelor studies.
The PhD project does not have to be about citation patterns in political
science and could be about a substantive topic broadly related to
comparative politics. There is no need to include an exposé for the
PhD project in the application. You would work on CITATIONGAP and your
own project at a vibrant research and teaching institution.
If you have any questions, please get in contact with me by email.
Regards
