AMERICAN POLITICS GROUP POLITICAL STUDIES

ASSOCIATION 48TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE

American Politics Group of the Political Studies Association 48th Annual Conference, 28-29 January 2022, University of Kent

Call for Papers

The 48th annual conference of the American Politics Group of the Political Studies Association will be produced by the University of Kent in the United Kingdom from Friday 28th to Saturday 29th January 2022.

The conference will be wholly on-line.

The cost of the conference is £0 for all attendees, whether you are giving a paper, dropping in on the odd panel, or just enjoying the keynote speech on Friday evening.

The APG invites proposals on any aspect of American politics. Papers or panel proposals examining contemporary US political institutions or processes, foreign policy issues or political history are welcome. The conference organisers would also welcome papers addressing comparative themes or relevant theoretical or methodological issues.

Past conferences have had a strong postgraduate presence and we especially encourage young scholars to present their work.

If you are interested in presenting a paper, please send a title and abstract to Dr Andrew Wroe at a.j.wroe@kent.ac.ukmailto:a.j.wroe@kent.ac.uk by 30 November 2021. Proposals should be around 150 words for single papers and 300 words for panels. We apologise for the tight deadline, but know that many of you have some fantastic papers in progress or already written. We look forward to hearing them.

The APG is the leading scholarly association for the study of US politics in the UK and also has members in continental Europe and the USA. Follow us on:
