Dear all,
The Junior Scholars in International Security (JSISE) Workshophttps://urldefense.com/v3/__https://sites.google.com/view/jsise-workshop/home__;!!Mih3wA!Fqt3d0xc8p56_5f6pliMZKW15Pf9tt335Pkk6LwYbUUUpSl6Tu4WqWBy3h5KtfQIJ6MLOS2II6TxrPCANQgv4oBV$ organizers are now happy to announce that our call for proposals for Spring 2023 is open. Our workshop is a virtual, interdisciplinary, junior-scholar-run workshop. We aim to provide a venue for junior scholars (including graduate students, post-docs, and untenured faculty) to present works-in-progress and solicit feedback from their peers and faculty.
The workshop is held at the same time every semester, every Tuesday 12-1 pm EST. Our Spring calendar will begin January 17th. We invite junior scholars from Political Science, International Relations, and related disciplines with an interest in International Security (broadly defined) to participate. The workshop is committed to promoting the work and voices of Black, Indigenous, POC, LGBTQ+, and women scholars from all regions.
If you are interested in presenting your work in the Spring semester, please fill out this submission formhttps://urldefense.com/v3/__https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdNMGuBN2l_XifQu-6qSJo2R9aphZ_oa5mUgv5DFuaqRsp6qg/viewform__;!!Mih3wA!Fqt3d0xc8p56_5f6pliMZKW15Pf9tt335Pkk6LwYbUUUpSl6Tu4WqWBy3h5KtfQIJ6MLOS2II6TxrPCANetxc6Rw$ by the 30th of December, 5pm ET. We are happy to consider submissions ranging from early-stage research proposals, to well-developed manuscripts, and anything in between. In addition to our usual workshop format, we also provide the option for presenters to give a practice job talk. If your submission is for a practice job talk, please note your preferred date, length, and format, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Best regards,
