Assistant/Associate Professor in Social Data Science at Durham University (UK)

The Faculty of Social Science and Health at Durham University (UK) is seeking to appoint an Assistant (tenure track) or Associate Professor in Social Data Science, starting September 2021. To receive full consideration, please apply by 12th March 2021. The successful applicant will be a core member of the Durham Research Methods Centre; they will also be a member of the appropriate academic department within the Faculty of Social Science and Health (Sociology, Anthropology, or Government & International Affairs), contributing to research and education. As such, applicants must demonstrate research excellence in the field of Social Data Science, Social Analytics or Computational Social Science; they must also have a proven track record of conducting high-quality research aligns with research strengths within the relevant Department (Sociology, Anthropology, or Government & International Affairs).

Successful candidates whose substantive research interests fall within political science will be affiliated with the Centre of Institutions and Political Behaviour (https://www.dur.ac.uk/ipb/) within the School of Government and International Affairs, which provides a collegial, stimulating, and supportive environment for developing and refining research projects and outputs, networking with colleagues within and beyond Durham, and pump-priming financial support.
