I am writing on behalf of the EU-VALUES Network (EU Research and Education Network on Foreign Policy Issues: Values and Democracy) to invite you to submit a paper for our upcoming international conference in Santiago, Chile, on the 5th-6th December 2024. *About The EU-VALUES Network* Our Network brings together 21 leading higher education institutions from Europe and across the globe, engaging nearly 100 experts from six continents. Our aim is to create dialogue and advance understanding of the EU's foreign policy, particularly regarding democracy and EU values. The network’s activities align with Erasmus+ objectives, focusing on education, lifelong learning, and the promotion of democratic principles worldwide. *Conference Details*This conference, organised by the Instituto de Estudios Internacionales at the University of Chile and the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), aims to explore innovative strategies to promote democracy and the rule of law within different policy frameworks. It will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and paper presentations on topics such as: - New Security Challenges Facing Democratic Values - Democracy, Artificial Intelligence, and Big Data - EU/Europe-Latin America Relations and Democratic Principles ...And more (details in attached PDF) We welcome papers that address these, and related topics.
