Dear Colleagues,

Apologies for cross-posting

I am thrilled to announce that my book entitled « Regulators as Agenda-Setters: How National Agencies Shape Public Issues » has been published with Routledge: https://www.routledge.com/Regulators-as-Agenda-Setters-How-National-Agencies-Shape-Public-Issues/Guaschino/p/book/9781032184029.

This book shades light on the role of regulatory agencies in the construction of public problems by bridging literatures on regulatory governance and on agenda-setting. By focusing on two topical sectors, Food Safety and Environmental protection, and by adopting a mixed-method approach, combining survey, QCA, interviews, observations and review of prominent documents, I show the conditions under which agencies influence the political agendas at national level, the mechanisms and the strategies they develop. This book will be of key interest to scholars, students and practitioners of the politics of regulation, bureaucracy, agenda-setting, public policy, social problems and more broadly to European and comparative politics.

I hope you will find my book inspiring. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me !

All best regards,

Edoardo Guaschino
