Panel: Field Work With Elites
https://wc2023.ipsa.org/wc/panel/field-work-political-elites
Description
We welcome studies involving field work research with
political elites. Proposals can encompass the methods
and processes of conducting field work with elites as
well as research in which data or theory was developed
through field work with political elites. Projects
involving elite interviews, shadowing, field experiments,
survey-in-the-field experiments, and lab-in-the-field
experiments with elites are all welcome.
We also encourage proposals from scholars from
various fields studying questions related to political
representation, political behavior, the effects of political
institutions, public policy, global governance, and more.
We expect this panel will help forge connections within
an international and diverse community of scholars
interested in conducting field work with political elites
and improve the discussion on best practices for doing
so.
