Dear colleagues,

We are searching a PhD student who conducts research in the Swiss National Science Foundation funded project "Densifying Switzerland". The position is funded for 4 years. More info attached and here: https://www.jobs.ethz.ch/job/view/JOPG_ethz_oQxo3vgb68ktIZqayS

The project examines factors that influence the acceptance and democratic support for (urban) densification in Switzerland. Densification is the central paradigm of Swiss spatial planning. Yet, the challenge is to realize densification democratically and without intensifying or creating new socio-economic inequalities.

We are searching a candidate with a master degree (or near completion of) in political science, planning, sociology or related social science disciplines with strong interest and curiosity in urban planning issues and public opinion.

Thanks for helping us out and sharing the job ad in your networks.

Best regards,

David Kaufmann
