"Digital Sovereignty - Rhetoric and Reality"

Dear colleagues,

Digitalisation and digital policy are of ever-increasing importance for the
European Union, and of course for all of us in our everyday lives.

In this context, especially the debate on "digital sovereignty" has become a
buzzword among EU policymakers. We are interested in the degree and nature
of related policy change (implemented, adopted, or proposed) in various
policy subfields affected by digitalisation.

Therefore, the Vienna Working Group on Digital Europe (Gerda Falkner,
Sebastian Heidebrecht, Anke Obendiek, Elke Schraik, Timo Seidl) cordially
invites you to submit paper proposals for an online conference of the Centre
for European Integration Research (EIF), Department of Political Science,
University of Vienna. Please submit abstracts of around 500 words until 14
November 2021 and the papers can then be presented at the conference in late
April 2022.

Please find our Call for Papers, including further information and the link
to our online proposal upload form, attached - or via this address:

Kind regards from Vienna,

Gerda Falkner

(Head of EIF)
