Dear colleagues,
The methods working group of the German Association of Peace and Conflict Studies (AFK) is pleased to announce that this year’s workshop will be organized by the Center for Crisis Early Warninghttps://www.unibw.de/ciss-en/kompz-kfe/ (CCEW) at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, Germany.
The workshop will take place at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich campus in Neubiberghttps://www.unibw.de/home-en on September 05-06, 2023. Accommodation will have to be arranged by participants individually.
As in previous years, we invite papers based on theory-guided, empirical peace and conflict research. The workshop aims to promote exchange and networking among peace and conflict researchers. We explicitly invite contributions that apply diverse methods ranging from qualitative to quantitative methodologies and encourage junior scholars to apply.
We currently plan without participation fees and will provide coffee breaks and lunch on both days plus a workshop dinner at the end of the first workshop day on-site. In the event of any changes, we will promptly communicate them to you. We cannot provide financial support for travel and accommodation, however.
Participants can look forward to engaging discussions and high-quality feedback. Presentations can be held in English or German.
Submission deadline for abstracts: June 11, 2023.
Please submit your paper title and abstract (max. 250 words) via: https://forms.gle/w8UAH5psbysfeB6TA
