Dear EPSA community,

Frank Schimmelfennig and I are organizing a workshop on „The changing boundaries of European integration“, which will take place from 9-12 March 2025 at the beautiful Monte Verità in Ascona, Switzerland.

The workshop aims at bridging the research from our two ERC projects, Frank Schimmelfennig's EUROBORD-project on boundary formation in European integration and my DISINTEGRATION-project on the mass politics of disintegration, and putting them into dialogue with other researchers who specialize in topics related to the breadth, depth, and dynamics of European integration.

In the attached call for papers, we invite submissions that explore the changing boundaries of the European integration project, both in terms of geography and regarding the boundaries between national and European policymaking capacities. We plan to bring together a diverse group of junior and senior scholars who work on these questions from a variety of perspectives.

You can find more information in the attached call and under the following link: https://forms.gle/2VFkPf8qefDxYyGc7

Deadline for abstract submission is 15 September 2025.

We look forward to your submission and would also be grateful if you could spread the call among other scholars (especially junior ones that we may not be aware of) that are working on topics related to the workshop theme.

All the best and enjoy your summer,
Stefanie
