Dear all,

We are inviting submissions of paper proposals for our ECPR Joint Sessions workshop “Health, Disability and Political Representation”.

The workshop will explore different aspects of the topic including the effects of health and disability on political participation; the short and long-term impact of political events on physical and mental health, subjective happiness, and well-being; and the political representation of the interests and needs of people with health conditions and disabilities. We invite papers from all subfields of political science, including public policy and international relations, but interdisciplinary research that brings insights from public health studies, epidemiology, physiology or biomedicine is also welcome.

You can find more details here: https://ecpr.eu/Events/Event/PanelDetails/11368.

The workshop is planned to take place as an in-person event in Edinburgh from 19-22 April 2022. The deadline for submissions is 2 February 2022 via the ECPR website.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch with us (d.d.toshkov@fgga.leidenuniv.nlmailto:d.d.toshkov@fgga.leidenuniv.nl or stefanie.reher@strath.ac.ukmailto:stefanie.reher@strath.ac.uk).

Best wishes,
Dimiter & Stefanie
