Call for Papers: EuroWEPS Workshops

We are happy to announce the next two editions of the EuroWEPS workshops. EuroWEPS brings together political scientists across Europe to engage with research that draws causal inferences.

EuroWEPS is a read-in-advance workshop. All participants are expected to read all papers. Each paper receives 45 minutes of in-depth discussion in a focused, constructive setting.

This call is for two upcoming workshops:

  • EuroWEPS 12: Friday, November 14 at Bocconi University (Milan)
  • EuroWEPS 13: Monday, December 15 at the European University Institute (Florence)

Applicants submitting papers or detailed pre-analysis plans must clearly indicate in their application whether both dates are feasible. Each author will be assigned to only one workshop. If only one date works, applicants should indicate which one.

Authors of selected papers will receive up to 500 Euros for travel and accommodation.

Applications are due by September 30, 2025. Please send submissions to euroweps@gmail.commailto:euroweps@gmail.com. We will notify selected participants by October 15, 2025. Priority will be given to Europe-based scholars.

Others may attend (without funding) but must register with us in advance.

Women, minorities, and first-generation academics are especially encouraged to apply.

EuroWEPS Organizers:
Ala Alrababah (Bocconi University)
Elias Dinas (European University Institute)
Florian Foos (London School of Economics and Political Science)
Anselm Hager (Humboldt University Berlin)
Alexandra Scacco (WZB Berlin Social Science Center and University of Hamburg)
Pavithra Suryanarayan (London School of Economics and Political Science)
