Applicants are expected to reveal an excellent research and publication record in relation to their academic age. Teaching experience is desirable. The future position holder should also participate in the teaching and administration duties of the Department for Democracy Research. She or he should be willing to support the research projects of the departement. Particularly desirable are in-depth knowledge of mixed-method research as well as social science content analysis, whereby excellent quantitative methodological skills are a prerequisite. A broad focus on research on politics, representation and democracy is desirable.
