Federica Web Learning, in cooperation with the International Political
Science Association (IPSA), is organizing the third edition of the IPSA
Summer School, this time online due to the conditions of the COVID-19
pandemic, with personalized online sessions held in November and December
2021. Thanks to the grant provided to IAPSS by Federica Web Learning, the
International Association for Political Science Students (IAPSS) is
launching a Call for Applications for *a limited number of registration fee
waivers *for participation at the IPSA Summer School 2021
http://ipsasummerschool.federica.eu/.

This summer school is an excellent opportunity to receive an in-depth
qualitative training in concept building, using the unique approach known
as ‘Hyperpolitics’. In addition, it unfolds in an innovative format,
consisting of, first, the undertaking of a MOOC (massive online open
course) on Political Concepts
https://www.edx.org/course/understanding-political-concepts, and
followed-by the personalized online sessions on November 5-6 and December
3-4, 2021, focusing on the participants’ own research projects. The authors
of the three best papers written in the framework of the Summer School will
then receive scholarships for the 2022 (residential) edition of the Summer
School on the island of Capri.

In cooperation with Federica Web Learning, IAPSS aims to provide a limited
number *of registration fee waivers for the certificate track of the
IPSAMOOC on Political Concepts *to promising junior researchers who
demonstrate particular interest in concept-building, motivation and
commitment to this summer school, and coherent research ideas they can work
with in its course.

To this end, the applicants are required to provide a curriculum vitae,
focusing on the academic experience of the applicant and a brief statement
(maximum 200 words) of their interest to join the programme.

All documents are to be sent by *8 September 2021 *via e-mail as PDF files
to mooc@iapss.org.

Notes:

  • An individual IAPSS membership is required from all successful
applicants, as well as an honest declaration of the seriousness of their
commitment to the summer school and of their enrollment to the IPSA MOOC
    via the edX platform.
  • Recipients of the Federica—IAPSS registration fee waivers are expected
to agree with being featured in promotional material of IAPSS and/or
    Federica Web Learning.
  • The exact number of registration fee waivers will depend on the
overall number and quality of applications.
  • The receipt for the certificate track for the IPSAMOOC on Political
Concepts will need to be provided upon acceptance and the expense is
reimbursed only after the summer school and upon the conditions of active
participation at the online sessions (presence at all sessions unless
absence for a well-justified reason) and provision of all receipts required.

Please do not hesitate to contact us via mooc@iapss.org in case of further
questions or inquiries as well as distribute the Call further and widely
among your networks of junior scholars or graduate students. Thank you in
advance.

We look forward to your applications!
