We are pleased to share the Call for Proposals for the 11th Annual Environmental Politics and Governance (EPG) Conference, which will be hosted in Sachseln, Switzerland, 10-13 June 2025. Proposals must be submitted by October 31, 2024 (soon!) at https://www.epg2025.org. https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.epg2025.org.__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!j9kYHNSbsQUXbf01TMgjQnTsnmipxvxktYhTI-Pg3nV0M1ymDEKxkLy72gdveOm2rODnVlzTeHNM4_Q$

Call for proposal
We invite paper proposals addressing significant theoretical ideas with rigorous quantitative or qualitative research designs in all domains of environmental politics and governance. The conference will include plenary sessions and poster sessions.

The conference aims to showcase outstanding research, offer authors with valuable feedback, and provide a platform for scholars to enhance their networks and shape future research directions.

Costs and logistics
There are no conference fees. All meals and coffee breaks will be funded. Accommodation for about 40 participants will be covered, with early career researchers given priority. Of these, about 30 spots will require shared rooms.

Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. We expect full attendance and active engagement from all participants throughout the conference. Please plan to arrive no later than June 10 at 6 pm for the welcoming reception and depart no earlier than June 13 at 2pm.

Optional social activities will be organized during the conference.

Location and venue
The conference will take place at the Hotel Paxmontana, built in 1617, which offers a peaceful atmosphere amidst the Swiss Alps and overlooks Lake Sarnen (map). The hotel is located above Sachseln and is easily accessible by public transport (~2 hours from Zurich Airport).

Submission process
The deadline for an extended and anonymous 700-1,000 words abstract that outlines the research question, theory, data, and methods is October 31, 2024. See our submission page for details (https://www.epg2025.orghttps://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.epg2025.org__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!j9kYHNSbsQUXbf01TMgjQnTsnmipxvxktYhTI-Pg3nV0M1ymDEKxkLy72gdveOm2rODnVlzTIDauvWs$).
