We hope you are all well. We will be holding the following conference next year:
2026 Annual Conference on Geopolitics and International Affairs
The Age of Anxiety: Dependence, Autonomy, and Strategic Ambiguity
Ryukoku University, Kyoto, Japan, September 18-20, 2026.
We invite submissions on the following and related themes:
• Strategic ambiguity, shifting alliances, and multipolarity.
• Political norms, international law, and the dynamics of diplomacy.
• Media narratives, disinformation, and government propaganda.
• National and regional development as a platform for peace and stability.
• Tensions in the Indian Ocean, East Sea, and South China Sea.
• The global implications of the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.
• Japan’s role in regional and global security.
• Technological disruption and its geopolitical consequences.
