IV Yale-UB Historical Political Economy Workshop June 29-30. 2026 Barcelona Faculty from Yale University and the University of Barcelona are organizing the fourth edition of the Yale-UB Historical Political Economy Workshop. The workshop brings together senior and junior faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and advanced PhD students working in Comparative Politics, International Relations, Political Economy, and Economic History with an emphasis on HPE. The organizers welcome papers across a broad range of topics and methodologies, including studies examining historical political events and research exploring the enduring legacies of historical events in the present day. This two-day workshop will take place at the University of Barcelona on June 29-30, 2026, featuring 10 presentations. The Workshop Keynote this year will be Lisa Blaydes (Stanford University).
